Singer Spotlight: Justin Thompson

Move over Justin Timberlake, there's another JT in town.

Now in New York by way of Nashville, Thompson has blended elements of jazz, swing and pop to create a sound all his own. His MySpace profile says his influences include Rufus Wainwright, Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong. With two acclaimed albums under his belt, Thompson is sure to become a legend in his own right. If you haven't heard his cover of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit stop reading this and head over to his MySpace profile now.

After graduating from the Berklee College of Music, Thompson received accolades for his debut album, Tasty Pudding. It was even named one of the best albums of the year by the Nashville Rage. In 2006 Thompson released his second album, Brand New Same Old Obsessions.
